About Planet Fur

Me

Hi! My name is Marlous. I live in The Netherlands with my big Love, two rabbits and our cat Molly. ‘Cause she is not always behaving very catlike, we think she's a creature coming from Planet Fur, from a galaxy far far away.

Planet Fur is what I would like to call my alter ego. I work parttime and spend every other spare minute on my Planet Fur universe. I thrift, photograph, sew and dream. In short, Planet Fur means the world to me, I feel home at last.

To be honest, the only thing I'm really good at is making the things I make for my shop (which is here: http://www.planetfur.etsy.com/). Just because it didn't took me years to learn how to draw a pattern and how to sew a blanketstitch. I'm more of a self-taught woman, that is (and also a verrrry impatient one). I also love to think of easy, not-much-creative-skills-necessary creative projects for my home.

So, what is this blog about? Sharing my creative adventures with you. I write about low-profile domestic art-projects (you will also learn a lot of new English here, for it's not my native language ;-)) and about the things that make me happy. 'Cause even in my darkest hour there's still so much to be happy about. Of course I sincerely hope you'll get inspired by my tales of the easy-wonderful-and-unexpected. Remember: you don't need to have a grade in knitting to be creative (I'm the living proof of that) :-) You can find posts with examples of new ideas here!

Like every weblogger, I love comments. If you have any question, please contact me here.

Molly

Our little girl's a regular visitor to this blog. Little miss Molly is an Exotic Shorthair, the shorthaired sister of the Persian. We collected Molly from a rescue centre: she looked at us with her large yellow eyes and well, we took her home and spoiled her rotten since. We love love love her. I'm not exaggerating. Unfortunately, the absence of a snout causes her a lot of inconvenience. Her teddybear-like appearance therefore also gives her something sad.

Where ever we are in our house, Molly is. She talks a lot...although it often sounds more like chirping or howling. Molly kinda likes it outside, especially when we are there. Because of that, we had to build a fence around the garden of our temporary former home last year. We couldn't bare the sight of her sitting behind the glass meowing at us begging us to let her out.

She loves my cousin, which is not strange 'cause there's no one in the world who takes better care of her when we're not home. We're afraid that one day, she'll move in with her. Once you've won Molly's heart, you'll get a lifetime of long naps on your lap in return. She's so generous.

Even though she mostly sleeps or meows, Molly's life is very postworthy. Here you can read about her adventures.

It's all part of the deal when you decide to take home a Persian Princess. She brightens our days, in return we give her milk and loads of love. Kumbaya.

Thanks for stopping by!
